Lent 2025

The Lenten season is just around the corner and as we did for Advent, we would love for you to join with us in prayer and Bible Study for the season of Lent.

We are still working on the final details but here is a sneak peak…

Each week includes one chapter of the Bible along with some questions to ponder throughout the days of the week. The purpose of the Lenten season is to pause and reflect on what Christ has done for us and to repent of the ways we have fallen astray from His plan in our lives. Some choose to fast in various ways during this season to draw closer to the Lord in this way as supported in scripture through Jesus’ fast for 40 days in Matthew 4, and we see the strength He gains to resist Satan from this fast. If you are interested in more information about fasting during Lent, we would encourage you to talk to your church leaders and seek their guidance. This guide is not intended to lead you to fasting, however many associate this season with fasting so we wanted to mention it.

To get the most out of the guide, read the chapter of the week multiple times and write down your answers or prayers according to the prompts provided each day of the week. Saturday and Sunday are left blank on purpose to catch up, rest, enjoy time with friends and family.

In other parts of the guide, we have highlighted the meanings of multiple days of celebration honored in this season. This is to guide you and help you remember the days of historical significance, primarily during Holy Week, the week between Palm Sunday and Easter.

One last page of note is an activity to engage with your friends, family, and/or neighbors. We grew up dying Easter Eggs and maybe you did too. This page highlights this activity and gives you a historical and gospel-centered framework. This brings some light and joy to a season so mixed with emotions. We hope you enjoy!
